The Dental Clinical Advice & Booking Service (DCABS) is a key component of the Yorkshire & Humber integrated urgent care system operating 365 days per year, 24 hours a day. The Service ensures callers (aged 5 years and over) to the NHS111 dental line are triaged, assessing the caller's need for urgent dental care using the national dental urgent care module; deliver advice and book appointments directly for urgent dental treatment where clinically necessary with urgent dental treatment providers. The service adopts a 'Consult and Complete' approach to service delivery with clinical advice provided by appropriately trained staff and appropriate onward referral. In addition, receive patients via NHS111 online assessed as having an urgent dental problem requiring a call back to make an appointment. Also, receive calls transferred by warm transfer from NHS111 for patients under 5 or dental callers who have been identified through the full NHS Pathways as having an urgent dental problem and who will require an appointment with an urgent dental care provider. This Service is for the provision of an Intensive and Assertive Outreach (I&A) Service across Norfolk and Suffolk. The Service is designed to deliver intensive, proactive, and flexible community-based care for individuals with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) who present with elevated levels of complexity and risk and for whom engagement with traditional mental health services is a challenge. The Sub-Contractor will play a critical role in enabling engagement, promoting recovery, and addressing the wider determinants of health, working as a fully integrated partner alongside NSFT clinical teams. The Sub-Contractor(s) contribution is central to achieving the core ambition of the service: No individual is excluded from care due to disengagement, complexity, or social circumstances. The procurement will deliver an Adult Community Support Service across Learning Disability, Physical Disability and Mental Health client groups. Services will be delivered in a community setting, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year, inclusive of sleepovers and waking nights, to adults aged 16 and over who have been assessed by North Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership as requiring a service. The scope of the procurement will encompass services currently referred to as Community Supports, 24Hr Support, Housing Support and Supported living services. It does not include care at home provision. Services will be delivered through a flexible framework contract model. The contract term will be for a total of Six (6) years. The term will be an initial two (2) year period, followed by two further extension periods of 2 years. Providers will be invited to join the Flexible Framework at the two year break periods through a formal tender process. Re-opening July 2026 update - this framework has now been modified and will run until July 2027, with an option to extend until December 2027. Therefore, in line with the original framework schedule to open every 2 years, we are re-opening again in July 2026, for a final time on this framework. A PIN is currently live for the framework retender due to start in 2027.
